Queenstown, I’m not sure what to make of this town. On the one hand I can’t stand all the partying. I’m not a party person at all and I hate drunk people. So seeing many of those drunk party people in what’s actually quite a cosy town, is such a shame, in my opinion. PlentyContinueContinue reading “Don’t lose your shirt!”

Sea of colour
During my most recent travel to New Zealand, I visited a friend on the Kapiti Coast. We had spent some time hanging out, but the next day she had to work. I decided to go out and about myself, as it was a beautiful day and well, this was a place I’d never been toContinueContinue reading “Sea of colour”
A perfect day on a beach
Dunes and the beach, two elements I really enjoy. Not necessarily to just lie there baking in the sun on a big towel while getting sand in your sandwich. I’d rather walk along the beach, feeling the wind gush against my body, while getting some sort of free face scrub. I like it warm, butContinueContinue reading “A perfect day on a beach”
Enrichment
The Routeburn Track, one of my proud accomplishments. I’ll gladly experience this amazing trek again if it meant immersing myself in this incredible landscape again as well. On this photo, I had long passed the highest point of the trek (Harris Saddle) and was making my way down to Lake MacKenzie Hut, which you canContinueContinue reading “Enrichment”
Where will the train go?
Banff National Park in the springtime. Plenty of snow and ice still left on this gorgeous landscape filled with mountains, forest and rivers. We stopped by the side of the road for a quick photo break. The train tracks below got me wondering: where will the train go? What will it be like to journey throughContinueContinue reading “Where will the train go?”
Lake Rotoiti
Nelson Lakes N.P., an area in the South Island of New Zealand that I haven’t come close to exploring yet. We only went there because the owner of the hostel we stayed at in Nelson, recommended it to us, and our visit was brief. We were on our way to the Westcoast and the lady fromContinueContinue reading “Lake Rotoiti”
Preview: Horse trek in Paradise
In New Zealand I did a four-day horsetrek in the amazing Mt. Aspring N.P. on the ever so beautiful South Island. Here is a sneak preview of the incredible landscapes I found myself in those few days. Stories and more photos to come on Saturday!
Ye who enter here
It’s the Yellow-Eyed Penguins that enter here! Waiting in a camouflaged wildlife observation hut, we peeled our eyes to catch the first glimpse of Yellow-Eyed Penguins coming to shore to rest up for the night. Having to wait in a stunning environment like this isn’t such a hard thing to do! I especially love theContinueContinue reading “Ye who enter here”
