The Routeburn Track, one of my proud accomplishments. I’ll gladly experience this amazing trek again if it meant immersing myself in this incredible landscape again as well. On this photo, I had long passed the highest point of the trek (Harris Saddle) and was making my way down to Lake MacKenzie Hut, which you can see in the bottom left corner. It took me a while and I ended up with such sore knees, that The Fantastic Four helped carry my pack down the last bit of the trail. They were wonderful people. As for the mountains, I just love the ruggedness and layers that they boast. It felt truly wonderful and enriched me for life.
