Nelson Lakes N.P., an area in the South Island of New Zealand that I haven’t come close to exploring yet. We only went there because the owner of the hostel we stayed at in Nelson, recommended it to us, and our visit was brief. We were on our way to the Westcoast and the lady from the hostel assured us that it was worth the detour. And it was! I’ve put it on my list of places to return to, so I can do some proper exploration, hiking and soaking up scenery.
