Murals and street art

New Zealand street art/murals often depict native wildlife other kiwiana. As a creative person myself (though nowhere near as talented as these artists, haha) this kind of art makes me smile! And the first photo? So fitting, as I can’t seem to stay away from New Zealand! 🙂

Are you gonna go my way?

The sky looked a bit moody, but the weather was mild and sunny. I decided to explore the small town of Hahei a little more. I walked along this road and then hiked up to a lookout point. The view was worth it, but so was the way to it. Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge

Warm colours and silhouettes

Plimmerton is a cute and conveniently located small town only a short train ride from Wellington, New Zealand. The town was a lovely surprise during my last kiwi adventure. Across the world

Mid December 2017 it was finally time for mom and I to travel to New Zealand! For mom it was the first time ever flying this far. In 1886 Mount Tarawera erupted, destroying the Pink and White Terraces and burying the village of Te Wairoa. Today, it’s the most visited archaeological site in New Zealand. I’ve always been fascinated by the storyContinueContinue reading “May it guide you on your journey”

See the line where the sky meets the sea, it calls me

I’ve always loved water. When I was a kid, I’d spend most summer days swimming in the nearby lake or paddling in the creek in my inflatable rowboat. I would spend hours on end enjoying the water, whether I was on it or in it. I loved it. I enjoyed these adventurous water voyages, untilContinueContinue reading “See the line where the sky meets the sea, it calls me”

Everybody probably has some kind of sentiment to the word wonder. Socrates put it so eloquently in the phrase ‘wisdom begins in wonder.’ContinueContinue reading “Wisdom begins in wonder”
