During our stay at Hopewell we did this easy walk to Skiddaw Farm. Beautiful views along the way and a few cows to say hi to. These cows have a better view than I have from my city apartment, haha! But that’s the Marlborough Sounds at its finest.

Go where you feel the most alive

One of my favourite ways to travel is by water. I love being on the water, looking out into the vastness, feasting my eyes on stunning scenery. It’s when I feel truly alive and free.


And then the time had come to take the ferry to head over to the South Island. We left our hostel in Plimmerton and had an easy drive to the ferry. We were a bit early, but that was ok since we would both rather wait a bit than have to rush our way over.Continue reading “Aratere”


This is one of my favourite photos of my latest travel to New Zealand, taken on the Interislander Ferry to the South Island. I love the predominantly blue colour palet and the almost silver shimmers from the sun on the water. As if I needed any more convincing that the Marlborough Sounds are stunning!
