Nelson, my favourite city in New Zealand. It’s got such a great vibe and the fact that it’s one of the most sunny places in the country, helps a little…okay a lot! 🙂 Here I was in the Nelson harbour, waiting for my water taxi to Kaiteriteri to spend a day in the gorgeous AbelContinueContinue reading “Cloud burst”

Captain Kirk is climbing a mountain
Canada, dear beautiful, gorgeous Canada. So much amazing nature in Alberta, it would take me ages to see it all. Banff N.P. is huge and so incredibly stunning. I don’t remember the names of these mountains, if they have specific names. I just love the river, the trees and the backdrop of these huge, impressive,ContinueContinue reading “Captain Kirk is climbing a mountain”
Let me take you on a journey through time

Climb every mountain
Trekking through the lush green forests and getting higher and higher up the mountain. Every once in a while I had to stop and take a picture to capture how much I had hiked to get there. The Routeburn Track was amazing to do and seeing these pictures again fills me with that fuzzy warm feeling of pride and nostalgia.ContinueContinue reading “Climb every mountain”

Love the view! 🙂 It always feels special gazing upon the beautifully shaped Sydney Opera House and the stunning harbour that adorns this huge metropole. I’ve been to Sydney a few times now, but I’ll never not like this view. This view is also special toContinueContinue reading “Sydney Harbour”
Coca-cola landscape
Approaching Lake Louise, Alberta, the landscape turned into the most amazing snowy picture perfect scenery. It felt like we were driving into the set of a Coca-cola commercial or a Christmas postcard. Tall trees covered in the most amazing powdery snow. I had never seen anything like it. Beautiful!
Promise of a beautiful day
I took this photo at the beginning of the Routeburn Track. The haziness in the background, the sun trying to break through the clouds, it held the promise of a beautiful day. The first leg of the trek consisted almost exclusively of climbing, so I enjoyed the ‘flat bits’ while it lasted. 😉
