Driving the South Island of New Zealand is often something like this. Generally, there’s less traffic than on the North Island. I don’t mind!

Enjoying the day

Beautiful hike a friend and I did a few years ago on a sunny summer’s day. We enjoyed an ice cream, mozzies enjoyed feasting on us! Good times 🙂

Spring hike

Spring hike through the forest near Hilversum. I love the trees on both sides and the shadows they cast on the hiking trail.

The road ahead is empty. It’s unpaved

Ingredients for a great hike? Nice weather, unpaved trails, extensive views and great company!

Empty roads

On the road from Hopewell to Nelson Lakes N.P. I love empty roads like these, it makes the trip a lot easier!

During our stay at Hopewell we did this easy walk to Skiddaw Farm. Beautiful views along the way and a few cows to say hi to. These cows have a better view than I have from my city apartment, haha! But that’s the Marlborough Sounds at its finest.

Summer sun

Beautiful summer sun slowly setting over this land. Perfect time for a stroll through a beautiful garden.

I dig it

Here’s a photo from when I was an intern at an archaeological excavation in the north of Oss, in the area called Horzak.
