We learned on the bus tour after we first arrived on Spitsbergen, that you can’t keep your huskies in your home. They make too much noise for residential areas, especially if you have a bunch of them. So there are these places out of town where dog owners can house their huskies. Arctic adventures commence!
One month ago, I went on an amazing holiday! I travelled north, farther north than I’d ever been before. Early last summer, I had booked a Northern Lights tour to Sommarøy -near Tromsø, Norway- and Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen (or: Svalbard). I had booked this trip even before I went to Iceland at the end of lastContinue reading “Arctic adventures commence!”
Reynisfjara
How, nature…how do you do it? Creating these amazing basalt formations, so perfect, so mesmerising. Nothing can compete. What a magical place, enhanced further by puffins!
Birka

One of the best holidays I’ve had in what has become one of my favourite countries! I’ve yet to share more about my amazing adventures there! InsteadContinue reading “Take a deep breath”
Falling to pieces

And even when we were there, some rocks came tumbling down.Continue reading “Falling to pieces”
Branching out
“Screw it”, this tree thought. “I’m not going to grow straight up. I’m going to branch out and find my own way!”
Dunedin alternatively
After Queenstown we headed to Dunedin, a place we were keen to check out. I’ve been to Dunedin before, so we decided to do things a little bit differently, and do other things than I’d done here before. We stayed at Hogwartz, a hostel I’d stayed at before and really liked, so I thought itContinue reading “Dunedin alternatively”
