Acceptance

Day three started out really nicely. The view from my tent wasn’t half bad. 🙂 It was chilly but the sun was out, and I was excited to continue hiking. I can’t even remember how early I woke up, but I remember starting to hike around 8.30-9 am. I knew this stretch of the trailContinueContinue reading “Acceptance”

Arriving at Singi

It’s about 15 km between Kebnekaise and Singi and it took me a good 7 hours orso to get to the second checkpoint. Once checked in at Singi checkpoint, I got my snack of souvas and mashed potatoes. Nomm! I found myself a quiet spot to pitch my tent. It was windy when I setContinueContinue reading “Arriving at Singi”

Hahei Beach

It’s a great feeling enjoying beautiful sunny summer weather while folks back home are dealing with winter. 😛 It’s an even better feeling when you get to enjoy a stunner of a view like this along with it! I’d never been to the Coromandel before and I have to say I love it! We spentContinueContinue reading “Hahei Beach”

And just like that…

This time there was more snow on the mountains and heaps lower on those mountains as well. Makes for a pretty picture to see the snow dotted about, and just as long as I don’t have toContinueContinue reading “Snow dotted mountains”

Oops, I did it again! Feat. That Wanaka Tree

Because I simply can’t get enough of New Zealand, I went back recently! From mid December 2017 to mid January 2018, my mom and I travelled through this beautiful country together. Fourth time for me, first time for her. Mom wanted to see for herself why I love this country so much, and consequently fellContinueContinue reading “Oops, I did it again! Feat. That Wanaka Tree”

And the sky is grey

After the downpour of rain on the second day of my Fjällräven Classic adventure, the sky stayed grey for a while. Still gorgeous landscape to trek through! With the sun gone, it was quite chilly, so it was best to just keep moving to stay warm!
