Rolling in the deep

On that same first day in Lisbon, when we went to Belém, the weather was rather overcast. It cleared up beautifully later in the day, but at first it looked something like in this photo. While it has mostly grey tones, I feel that those big ominous clouds give the photo that little bit of *oompf*. Both the North and South Islands are beautiful and I highly recommend visiting both islands. I just can’t help having fallen in love withContinueContinue reading “South Island”

We don’t need to know the way home

Just because I love dunes so much, I’m sharing two more photos from the Cape Reinga area where we had the opportunity to go sandboarding (which I didn’t do, thanks to pneumonia). This was on the way to 90-mile beach. Such a pretty area!
