There’s something about ferns that I really like. Always have, ever since I was a little kid. This is a picture of a few punga or fern trees. I love how they stand so tall and contrast beautifully with the clear blue sky.

South Island

The ferry ride from Wellington to Picton is pretty darn spectacular. The scenery is absolutely stunning. Also being so close to setting foot on that beloved South Island again makes me giddy. Just because I love dunes so much, I’m sharing two more photos from the Cape Reinga area where we had the opportunity to go sandboarding (which I didn’t do, thanks to pneumonia). This was on the way to 90-mile beach. Such a pretty area!
