Vastness

It was the first time I was at the very northern tip of a country. I loved looking into the vastness of the waters at Cape Reinga. Such a beautiful place.

Cape Reinga is the place where the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean meet. It’s a spiritual place for Maori, because it is here that the spirits of the dead enter the underworld and make the journey back to the homeland of Hawaiki. Springtime in winter

Recently, I went on a walk and saw various crocuses blooming. Normally they don’t start blooming until early Spring. The mild weather is obviously confusing nature! Lake Tekapo is known for its bright turquoise waters. Seeing it in a muted state, pretty much like a ‘regular lake’ was something different. I like seeing a different face of this place.
