Happy New Year from Alive and Trekking! I hope that 2016 will be amazing, filled with good health, lots of travel, positivity and kindness!
When I started this blog on January 1st 2014, never ever could I have imagined I’d still be going strong two years in. Two years….two! 😀 I still love blogging and sharing my photos so very much. And last year was a pretty good travel year, where I got to visit New Zealand again. All fueled up with kiwi energy, I’m ready to tackle another year! 🙂
Last year…
I published 87 posts. The first post was Aye, on we go!, where I recapped my first year of blogging. My last post was Dreaming of a white Christmas, where I posted a snowy picture from a few years ago to highlight the difference between then and the warm ‘winter’ weather we’re currently having. My most liked post was Going North, one of the first posts of my most recent New Zealand travels. Last year I also gained a lot of followers! Oh my word! I’m quite humbled that so many of you find my wee blog interesting or entertaining enough to give it a follow. Thank you so so much! Juggling a blog with a full time job can be challenging, but I do my best and still absolutely love working on and playing with my Alive and Trekking.
Next year…
I don’t have any specific travel plans yet. *gasp* I do hope I’ll get to travel and take lots of photos! Next year I also hope to blog more travel stories, impressions, recaps and the like. I still have my ‘Hopewell post’ to write. and now they have reached 100% satisfaction rate (incredible and so deserved!), all the more reason to share my two cents about this magical place.
P.S. I’m interested in discovering new blogs! I’m specifically looking for travel blogs, landscape photography blogs, blogs about New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Scandinavia, Alaska. If you have any recommendations for me or have one of those blogs yourself, please let me know in the comments and I’d be happy to check it out. 🙂
Happy New Year to you. I hope we get to see more of your beautiful NZ photos this year.
