On our way from the Coromandel to our next destination of Rotorua, I knew that we would sort of pass the Matamata area. I’d thought about visiting Hobbiton before, but never actually made my way down there. As we were driving south, I saw a road sign directed towards Hobbiton. Roots and belonging
This week’s photography challenge inspires me greatly. I live in the Netherlands and I’ve always felt the confines of the small country I call my home. Cool tones
Enjoying an evening stroll on Hahei Beach. I love how no sunset is the same. This one has some cooler tones, giving it a crisp and bright feel. I love it!

As Kiwi as
This is just so kiwi: small town by the water, beautiful views, someone on a boat, lush vegetation with ferns, pohutukawa and cabbage trees, and skies dotted about with clouds. What more could a person ask for?
Stick figure
There’s something about taking a photo of wide open space with a big object in the foreground. I love how it adds depth, some sort of frame and balance to this shot.
