Falling awake

While I know the lockdown is necessary to try and control the situation, it’s also tough to stick out. I’m doing my part, but realised it was time to escape the city for a bit. I’m spending some time with my mom and cats. Last Friday, we went to the beach. I hadn’t been to the beach in well over a year and a half.

The sun, wind and chilly air cleared out the cobwebs of my mind. I couldn’t stop smiling because I felt more awake than I have in months. I couldn’t breathe in the fresh, mildly salty air deep enough.

This is what I needed.

How are you doing?

    1. Good to hear! I needed it too, so much! The beach was lovely! We went to a different beach yesterday. Now back to work it is, but it sure helps to get through Blue Monday 😉

  1. Just standing on a beach looking at the sea has been such a healing experience for me up until December lockdown in Wales after mum passed away. I miss it now. But I know the time will come when I can do that again. I like the feeling it gives to my face and skin. Nothing can beat that whatever time of year.

    1. I’m so sorry for your loss. Glad to hear the beach heals. I think so too and I agree: whatever time of year! Thanks for commenting.
