Waterfall Bay

waterfallbayYou can still make out the watertaxi that dropped me off at the jetty in Waterfall Bay. I’d taken the ferry from Wellington to Picton (Bluebridge) and from there a watertaxi to Waterfall Bay (Cougar Line). I was headed for my favourite hostel ever: Hopewell. In Waterfall Bay, Mike from Hopewell picked me up with a car, drove to the other side, from where we took his little boat across to Hopewell. I think it’s great that they run their own watertaxi for visitors to Hopewell and for a lower price than other watertaxi companies too. It makes it a lot easier to get to this amazing place if you don’t have your own (rental) car or don’t want to drive all the way over a gravel road. And no, this really isn’t a bad place to wait for a pick up! 🙂

    1. It was! I think this is my favourite area in New Zealand. I love it! Haha, yes, there are far worse places to wait! 😉
