Here is a shot I took during the Fjällräven Classic in Swedish Lapland last August. See the people hiking on the trail? That’s for scale! 😉 The mountains were huge and the landscape very impressive! Even though I didn’t finish the trek, in the back of my mind I’m still thinking ‘what if I gave it another shot?’ At least now I have a better understanding of what it means to be in the Swedish outdoors. I’ve always respected nature, but this is showing nature in all its grandeur. Amazing. And who knows what the future holds?
Alive and Trekking 
That’s a beautiful, rugged landscape 🙂 The tiny figures really do demonstrate the impressive scale. I’m not surprised you’re tempted to return to this trail even though you know how tough it is.

Isn’t it? And so rocky! No step was without rocks. It’s very tempting to give it another go, but I don’t know how likely that will be. The only way I would ever go back there is when I know my knees will hold. If I’m not trying again at some point in the future, it’s no big deal either as there are plenty of other trails to tackle 😉

Great that you saw it. Majority of Swedes would never see so far north. as soon as we can travel we want to fly to a hot climate 🙂

Oh, I can totally understand that! I have friends in Sweden and in winter it can easily drop down to -30 C…brrrr! But the north is so incredibly beautiful and when I was there, the weather was really good! I felt so lucky 🙂 Then again, the times I’ve been to Sweden, I mostly had good weather (though I went further south 😉 )

Lucky you. For my nearly 30 years I mostly had bad weather so bad that I remember very well that beautiful Scandinavian summer 🙂

Hahaha, ‘remember that one summer, when it was sunny?’ 😛 I do feel lucky! Though I’ve had my fair share of rain in Sweden (my first holiday it rained 6 out of 8 days I was there), if the balance is 80% nice and 20% blech, I am very happy 🙂

Yes However that Happy Sunny 20% I wouldn’t trade Stockholm in July-August for any place in the World not even Fiji Islands 🙂
