A day in the capital

During our stay in Plimmerton, mom and I decided to spend a day exploring Wellington. First up, we went to the Te Papa Museum. Kind of a ‘no-brainer must-do’ when you’re in Wellington. It’s a beautiful museum, well laid out and with a friendly atmosphere. We also enjoyed the view over the city from the top floor. Very nice indeed! After that we wandered around town for a bit enjoying this lovely city. I had to try feijoa ice cream and it was very good! Now I’m curious to try the actual fruit! We weren’t in New Zealand during feijoa season, so until I do, I’ll just have to believe my Kiwi friend that they’re delicious!

One day really isn’t enough to explore Wellington. I’ve been there a few times before and still haven’t seen everything yet. For instance, I’ve never taken the cable car up the hill! I really like Wellington and would easily enjoy another visit!
