Kvalvik Fort

My Norwegian friend and I decided to do some sightseeing and visited Kvalvik Fort, close to Kristiansund.

“Kvalvik Fort is one of Norway’s best preserved coastal fortifications from the Second World War. There was also a submarine station here during the war. The fort is still intact and many people spend time exploring the bunker, canons and other objects from the war.” – source

We went into some of the bunkers and it was kind of creepy. In some places there was a really weird vibe. In one area in particular I felt rather uncomfortable. Who knows what happened here? But having said that, I’m not keen to find out either. My friend, who has visited this place before, didn’t help much as she was freaking herself and me out because of how dark and creepy she knew it was inside those bunkers! Still, it was cool to explore the area and we had a good time.

And we especially enjoyed the stunning views! The gloomy weather actually helped in setting a cool atmosphere!
