Devils Punchbowl Falls

On my 2012 travels to New Zealand I went to Arthur’s Pass by train. I decided to stay in this very small town for a few days just to check it out. It was a nice place, but not as ‘end of the world’ as I had expected it to be. Perhaps it was the sealed road that ran through the town and the many big trucks that took this road to go from Christchurch to Greymouth. Still, it was worth a visit. The train ride over was very pretty, the hostel was relaxed and the landscape stunning. I decided to hike to the Devils Punchbowl Falls, one of the tramps (hikes) you can do in the area. The waterfall was really pretty and the splashing water quite refreshing! 🙂
Lots of water going over those falls. It was worth the effort to get there.
