Such an awesome piece of coast. The water was so rugged that my friend and I couldn’t take the ferry to Kapiti Island and explore this, from what I’ve heard, amazing bird sanctuay island. Due to rough weather, the ferry was cancelled. Instead, we had a wander along the coast, where I saw these amazing, huge trees standing tall amongst the shrubbery.

What a shame you couldn’t go to the island. Those trees are Norfolk Pines. Lovely photo.
