Afternoon sail

Sailing is one of my favourite ways to spend a beautiful sunny afternoon. I love being on the water, or in the water. Always have. I’m not a good swimmer, but I still feel like some sort of ‘water rat’.

The salty air, the wind in my face, the possibility to go everywhere is so immensly freeing that I could spend days on a boat. This sailing trip departed from Hopewell. It wasn’t anything huge, just a relaxed afternoon sail through a part of the amazing Marlborough Sounds, exploring another bay, followed by some wine and snacks, and then a relaxed sail back. The weather was absolutely perfect: sunny, not a cloud in sight. Being on the water always makes me feel rosy and content.

I highly recommend exploring the Marlborough Sounds on a boat!
