Close-up

hopewell_fernHopewell is located in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. The property itself is beautiful and filled with trees, plants and flowers. Mike and Lynley put a lot of effort into keeping it beautiful and it shows. What a treat to have stayed here, if only for a brief time. I’ll definetly visit again! 🙂 Here’s a photo of one of their fern trees. I love ferns!. This photo turned out better than I expected, since I don’t normally take these kind of photos 😉 I guess it’s good to experiment sometimes!

What kind of photos do you like to take? What do you look for to get a great shot?

  1. Lovely shot San – I love ferns too 🙂 In Spring I love to see them in the woods near us as gradually grow and unfurl. I associate ferns with cool, shady places and tree ferns always look amazing – I can really imagine them being part of the prehistoric environment.

    1. Thank you! Yes, wouldn’t it be awesome if we could take a peak as to how it was? Huge, gigantic prehistoric fern trees! 🙂 I guess these will have to do now, lol.
