The arctic adventure continues! On our second to last day in Longyearbyen we were supposed to go on a snowcat adventure to an ice cave somewhere in the area. Unfortunately, the excursion was cancelled. As it turns out, there was not enough snow for the snowcat to ride on and get to the ice cave.Continue reading “Longyearbyen”

And then magic happened
I’ll just leave this here, because you know…we didn’t just see the northern lights. WE SAW THE NORTHERN LIGHTS! And we saw them GOOD! ❤ ❤ ❤
Northern lights hunting
After our dinner at the Coal Miners’ Bar & Grill we went out for some more northern lights hunting. Snow scooter tour
The second full day in Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen, we went on a snow scooter tour! Initially, I had wanted to drive a snow scooter myself and I was booked in for the full day. If you wantContinue reading “Husky tour”
Arctic adventures commence!

Early last summer, I had booked a Northern Lights tour to Sommarøy -near Tromsø, Norway- and Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen (or: Svalbard). I had booked this trip even before I went to Iceland at the end of lastContinue reading “Arctic adventures commence!”
