Debris

The Mount Cook area is very rugged and there is bound to be some kind of debris flow. As I started my hike through the Hooker Valley, I could hear a lot of debris rolling down higher up one of the mountains. On this photo you can see how the debris has cut into the rock and collected at the bottom in some kind of debris cone. I find it fascinating what forces of nature can do!
