Ye who enter here

It’s the Yellow-Eyed Penguins that enter here! Waiting in a camouflaged wildlife observation hut, we peeled our eyes to catch the first glimpse of Yellow-Eyed Penguins coming to shore to rest up for the night. Having to wait in a stunning environment like this isn’t such a hard thing to do! I especially love the early evening light, casting shadows and a beautiful golden glow over the cliffs on the other end of the bay. The penguins surely called dibs (or ‘bags’ in NZ) on a beautiful spot.
