Let’s continue sharing the travels around New Zealand that my mom and I enjoyed! The next destination after Wanaka was Queenstown. It’s just a short drive between these two places so we decided to take the scenic Cardrona Road and make a stop in Arrowtown.
Here are some photos from the stretch between Wanaka and Queenstown. A road through an absolutely stunning landscape with views for days! I can imagine Cardrona is a popular spot, especially in winter when there are miles of snowy slopes!
Arrowtown was a success too! It was a quaint little town with buildings in a wild western style. We stopped for lunch at the bakery (my poached eggs were so good!) and had a bit of a wander around town. I imagine when the weather is better, it would look so much better with all these mountains around. After a few hours we continued on our way to Queenstown, so stay tuned for that. 🙂
That looks like a nice historic place, I missed out as my girlfriend at the time was sick and I looked after her while my friends did the tour
