Now that the weather is getting colder in the Netherlands and Autumn has truly arrived, it doesn’t take much for me to reminisce and enjoy the memories of my spring trip to Lisbon last April. As I’m sitting on my couch, snuggly under a warm, fluffy blanket, I’m longing to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin, like I did in Portugal.
One of the highlights during this trip was visiting the Castelo de São Jorge, hilltop fortifications from the mid 11th century. The place breathes history and it was a pleasure exploring the whole place. One of the best features was the view! So beautiful! I also love those houses all mushed together. It may seem chaotic and unplanned, but I like it!
How pretty. Blue sky and blue water and all those red roofs. No wonder you’re reminiscing.

I always think so much of the charm comes from the maze of buildings…looks lovely there!

Lisbon is so beautiful, I really loved my visit. And indeed…much warmer temperatures later in the year where you are. 20 degrees sounds like bliss right now. I believe it’s around 15 here at the moment, which is not too bad, but yesterday was much colder.
Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
