Local residents

During my first time in New Zealand, I did an ecotour to the Otago Peninsula, close to Dunedin, to see Yellow-Eyed Penguins. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and the late afternoon light so inspirational! On our way to the beach where the penguins come to shore, we saw these local residents, enjoying the space and a nibble.

    1. They are pretty cool animals! If you love penguis, definitely check out Curio Bay in the Catlins area of New Zealand (South Island, roughly between Dunedin and Invercargill). Every day at around 6 pm Yellow-Eyed penguins come to shore. You don’t need a tour to see them, just go to the town and you can watch them for free! They are so adorable! https://aliveandtrekking.com/2014/07/18/mr-penguin/
